JOB OPENING: Technical Support Engineer
UKHost4u is currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer well versed in Linux but primarily Windows administration.
Requirements:
- Excellent planning, analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- 3+ years experience in ever Windows and Linux technical support
- In-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with a full range software and associated technologies (Plesk, cPanel, OpenVZ, Hyper-V)
- Working knowledge of ticketing systems, network monitoring/management tools and experience with design/development/operational deployment of such systems.
- UK based with English as a first language
This job will be a home based position but will include a full UK salary, paid holiday allowance (currently 5 weeks per year) and full support and training. Salary will vary depending on experience and previous jobs. Your day to day requirements will be:
- Answer customer telephone calls.
- Communicate with customer via our ticket system and live chat
- Work on server issues and provide internal support to other colleges
- Maintain servers and security on both Linux and Windows
This position is for a full time employee but we might also consider part-time applications if you have the required skills. We also would give preference to anyone who lives near our data centre in Maidenhead, UK.
