UKHost4u, the UK's premier web hosting provider, today successfully completed provisioning additional network transit.

With customer internet bandwidth increasing year on year, UKHost4u has provisioned an additional 1GB of partial transit capacity on our network to make sure that we always have more bandwidth than needed.

Partial Transit covers the majority of the UK and a large amount of Europe via peeing exchanges at LINX. LoNAP Xchangepoint, Packetexchange, LIPEX and MANAP within the UK and AMS-IX and DE-CIX in Europe.

The benefits of partial peering are:

Noticeably faster bandwidth than companies that only use Tier 1 providers

Multiple core routers to spread load and for diversity
Core network split across multiple sites

This now gives UKHost4u 2GB per second of partial peering transit and another 4GB per second of full transit, giving us enough to allow for continued growth in the hosting sector.
